Elaine was born and raised in Edmonton. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 1977 with a Bachelor of Social Work, working in that field for 17 years. Elaine earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 1996. She then joined Nickerson Roberts Holinski & Mercer as an Articling Student and, upon completing her Articles, became an associate with the firm. Elaine has a general practice serving a diversity of client needs with an interest in civil litigation and family law.
Elaine participates in a variety of activities such as cross-country skiing and hiking. She is a member of the YMCA and attends regular exercise classes. She has traveled extensively in Canada, Asia and Africa. She also enjoys the theatre, the symphony and jazz music.
